Auditions for the first show of BLT’s 77th season, the dramatic comedy Biloxi Blues by Neil Simon, will be held on Sunday, August 13 from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, August 14 from 5:30-7:15 p.m. at BLT. The cast includes five males and one female ages 18-26 as well as one male and one female mid 30’s-mid 40’s. No prepared piece is required, however the males must be able to comfortably do 25 push-ups and be willing to cut their hair short (military style).

The story begins with 20-year-old Eugene Morris Jerome from Brooklyn, who is drafted into the U.S. Army during WW II and is sent to Biloxi, Mississippi for basic training. There he meets a diverse assortment of soldiers that are presented as characters in Eugene’s collection of written commentaries. Show run dates are September 29-October 1, 3-7, 2017. Bob Craig will direct with Marianne Snider as producer.
