The first show of BLT’s 77th season, the dramatic comedy Biloxi Blues by Neil Simon, will feature Cody Nagle as Eugene Morris Jerome, John Carlson, Josh Donovan, Adam Pawlowicz, Grant Clark, Montana Simpson, Don Shearer, Amy Cannard, and Allison Torres.

Biloxi Blues, the second chapter of Neil Simon’s “Eugene trilogy,” centers on the journey of a young army recruit, Eugene Morris Jerome, during World War II. At basic training in Biloxi, Mississippi, Eugene is determined to use his army experiences to help his writing career, and keeps detailed memoirs about a diverse assortment of recruits and his experiences. Eugene and his fellow soldiers-in-training suffer under a hard-nosed drill sergeant, attempt to stomach the terrible army food served up in the mess hall, and bond over an adventure to visit the local lady of the evening. Along the way, Eugene is forced to learn about authority, danger, sex, assimilation, bigotry, and love. In the process, he discovers that life can be both ugly and tender. Winner of the 1985 Tony Award for Best Play.

Cody Nagle played Eugene in BLT’s production of Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs in 2015. The show Producer is Marianne Snider and Director is Bob Craig. Show run dates are September 29-October 1, 3-7, 2017.  Reserved seat tickets go on sale to the General Public starting September 21.
