Chicago Jazz Returns to BLT October 26 – Tickets Now Available

Chicago Jazz bands, Black Diamond and Twin Talk, will perform at Butler Little Theatre on Friday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m. General Admission tickets are now available online (or $12.00 at the door).

Black Diamond thrives on the compositions of saxophonists Artie Black and Hunter Diamond, and the chemistry among them, bassist Matt Ulerey, and drummer Neil Hemphill. The band has performed at the Chicago Jazz Festival, Sounds of the City Workshop, the Anagram Series at Elastic Arts, and the Chicago Jazz Composers Collective, and has traveled the country in tours to Florida, the Pacific Northwest, and Pennsylvania. Shifting Paradigm Records released the band’s debut album, Mandala, in 2017. Their second album, Chant, will be released in the fall of 2018.

Chicago band Twin Talk is known for its offbeat, melodic approach to improvised music. Drummer Andrew Green, saxophonist Dustin Laurenzi, and bassist/vocalist Katie Ernst focus their creative energies on collaboration and communication. Twin Talk has released two albums with a third planned for early 2019. The band tours regularly throughout the U.S. and has been featured at the Chicago Jazz Festival, the Hyde Park Jazz Festival, and the Chicago Music Summit.
