The Lab is a reader’s theater project that presents one-night-only performances of shows that are prohibitive of full stage production. The Lion in Winter by James Goldman will be read on December 16. Doors open at 7 p.m. with curtain at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $5 at the door.

An aging King Henry II plans a reunion with his imprisoned wife, where he hopes to announce his successor. Also invited are his mistress, his three sons (all of whom want the throne) and the King of France. Each is scheming to seek the outcome they most desire regardless of consequences.
