BLT Annual Meeting Closes Curtain on 77th Season

Butler Little Theatre lowered the curtain on its 77th season on Saturday night, June 9, with its annual business meeting and social. The Board of Directors, along with members and volunteers gathered at the Mac’s Cafe to review the organization’s financial and membership status, hear committee reports, and elect Board members.

The event was a celebration of the 2017-2018 season and the five shows that were staged. These included Biloxi Blues; Boeing Boeing; Other People’s Money; The Rise and Rise of Daniel Rocket and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.  Actors honored with Certificates of Recognition for outstanding performances included  Molly Miller, Grant Clark, Hannah Walleck, Josh Donovan and Katy Closkey Wayne. Certificates of Recognition for exceptional work in other areas of the theatre were presented to Shaun Donovan, Keith Osborne, Marianne Snider, Lester Malizia, Pat Bell, Alex Barnhart, Rikki Woodling, and Margaret Cahill.  Shirley Ann Minehart was presented the Board of Directors Award.

Elected to the 2018-2019 Board of Directors were Phil Ball, Art Black, Bob Craig, Stephanie Kobil and Rik Medic. Shows announced for BLT’s 78th season include The Dog Logs by CJ Johnson; Jeeves in Bloom, adapted by Margaret Raether from the stories of P.G. Wodehouse; Tuesdays with Morrie by Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom, based on the book by Mitch Albom; The Dixie Swim Club by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope & Jamie Wooten; and Our Town by Thornton Wilder.  There is an active call for Directors and Producers for these coming-season shows at
